summer.

It's been over a year since I logged in and connected with the virtual world. I am nineteen now and I have a year of college under my belt. I am proud to say I am not a freshman anymore. Rather than elaborate on my (very long) year to cyberspace and the few people who will read this, I find my time will be better spent on an update of my current situation.

Summer has begun.
After we finished our finals and packed the last 9 months of our live in cardboard boxes for storage, my 7 girl friends and I packed up what little clothing we had left that didn't need to be laundered, and headed north for 7 hours for our second annual roadtrip to Presque Isle, Maine. Emma's family owns a small cabin or "camp" as they call it in Presque Isle on a peaceful green waterfront called Echo Lake. There, all 8 of us squeezed into the 2 room cabin to sleep in and party for 5 nights of uncontrollable giggling, delicious meals, hilarious bargains at Mardens, boating on the lake, friendship bracelet making, crazy college story sharing, lots of hugging (and crying) , and lasting memories for the summer.

Even after a year of college life and not having seen my best friends for months, it felt like nothing, not even the shift from a small 300 person school to a large university and freedom, had changed the relationships between each us. It was back to the same old comfort, and the love that oozes from all of our very eccentric and different personalities. Give or take a few boyfriends in the picture, lost loves and new ones, when we are together, we still feel like home. I have no doubt that the girls will stick together for a very long time.

Heres to the start of an excellent summer.
